Oakville is not one kind of kitchen
A town this old does not have a typical kitchen, and pretending otherwise is how people end up buying the wrong job.
There are century homes down by the lake with solid timber under a tired finish. There are late-seventies and eighties builds where the boxes are square and sound and only the doors have dated. There are nineties and two-thousands houses with well-made fronts that need nothing but a different colour, and there are condos finished within the last decade where the cabinetry is already fine.
Those four situations want four different answers, and the difference between them is worth more than any amount of general advice about kitchens. What follows is where we work most often and what we usually find there.
What does not change from one street to the next
The process is the same wherever the kitchen is, and it is worth saying so plainly, because the pages below all describe the same company doing the same work.
The quote comes from photographs. Send wide shots of every run of cabinet and a written price comes back inside 24 hours. It is not revised after a visit, and around ninety-nine percent of our work is priced this way.
The finish is 2K polyurethane. Catalysed, solvent-based, sprayed rather than brushed. Doors go to the booth; anything that cannot come off the wall is sprayed in your kitchen behind full containment.
The disruptive stretch is about five days. Whatever the neighbourhood, the long part of a project happens at the shop while your kitchen carries on working without its doors.
What genuinely differs is which of the three routes your kitchen wants — and that is a question about the boxes and the doors rather than the address.
Why we build a page per neighbourhood at all
It would be easier to write one page saying we serve Oakville, and it would be less useful.
The reason these pages exist is that the advice genuinely changes street by street. Telling someone in a century home near the lake that refacing is the sensible default would be wrong; telling someone in a 1990s build that they should be stripping cabinets back to bare timber would be worse, and considerably more expensive for them.
So each page leads on the service that suits what is there. Old Oakville leads on refinishing because that is the neighbourhood where solid timber turns up. Clearview leads on painting because the doors in those houses are usually worth keeping. Bronte Village leads on stone because the housing is mixed enough that the counter is often the only thing being replaced.

Common questions about where we work
- Do you only work in these neighbourhoods?
- No. These are the areas we are in most often and have the most finished work to show, but we work throughout Oakville and within about twenty minutes of it — which takes in Burlington, Mississauga, Milton and Hamilton as well.
- Does where I live change the price?
- Not in any way you would notice. The quote is built from the door and drawer count and the days on site, and those do not move because of a postcode. Distance is a scheduling fact rather than a pricing one.
- Why does distance matter at all, then?
- Because your doors travel it twice. On a refacing or painting job the doors and drawer fronts leave the house, spend about a fortnight being finished, and come back — so the trip is part of how the work is scheduled rather than part of what it costs.
- My neighbourhood is not listed. Is that a problem?
- Not at all. The list reflects where we have photographed work, not where we will go. If your street is not on it, the answer is still yes, and the quote process is identical.
