The more you can tell us here, and the more photographs you attach, the faster the price comes back.

What happens after you send this

Someone reads it — there is no queue and no ticket number. We will usually come back with a couple of questions, because the answers change what gets priced. Whether your boxes are solid decides whether you are looking at new doors or at new cabinetry, and that is worth settling before a number is put on it.

The photo route

Send wide shots of every run of cabinet and you will have a written quote inside 24 hours, without anybody coming out. It is the same number a visit produces, and we do not revise it afterwards — what photographs cannot do is talk you through the options while you are standing in the room, which is what a visit is actually for.

The one instruction that matters is to zoom out. A close-up of the corner you hate tells us about that corner. What gets priced is the whole scope, so we need to see it.

What a visit adds

On the visit we measure, we look at the boxes, and we go through colours against your own light rather than a showroom lamp — a colour that looks right under one rarely looks the same at seven in the evening in a north-facing kitchen. That is the part worth being in the room for, and it is why the visit happens after you have the price, rather than before.

Questions

Before you get in touch

Is the photo quote the same price as an in-person quote?
The same, and that is the point of it. We do not revise a photo quote after seeing the kitchen. If a price is going to change, you hear about it before you accept anything, not afterwards.
So what is a visit actually for?
The things a photograph cannot do. Choosing a colour against your own light, designing new cabinetry or an addition, and working out genuinely awkward problems. It is a design visit, not a pricing visit — you already have the price by then. No charge and no deposit on the day.
Do I have to book a visit to get a price?
No, and most people do not. Around ninety-nine percent of our quotes are done from photographs. Send wide shots of every run of cabinet and you will have a written quote within 24 hours. The one instruction that matters is zoom out — close-ups look helpful and hide the scope, which is the thing being priced.
When do I pay, and how much?
Ten percent when the contract is signed, forty percent on the day the doors come off, and the remaining fifty when you have walked through the finished kitchen and approved it. Half the money arrives after the work is done, which is the opposite way round from most trades.
How quickly will someone get back to me?
Usually the same day, though it depends on whether the crew is on a job — we would rather say that than promise an hour and miss it. Calling is faster if you want to talk something through, and the number reaches the workshop rather than a call centre.
Do I need to know what I want before I call?
No. Most people call knowing only that they are unhappy with how the kitchen looks. Working out whether that means refacing, painting, new doors or new countertops is what the first phone call is for, and photographs usually settle it without anyone driving out.
Which areas do you cover?
Oakville is home, and we also work in Burlington, Mississauga, Milton and Hamilton. If you are just outside that, ask — it depends on the size of the job.
Is there any obligation once I have the quote?
None at all. The quote is yours to sit on, compare, or ignore. We would rather tell you refacing is wrong for your kitchen than sell you something that will not solve the problem, and we do say so when that is the case.

Would rather just talk to someone?

The number below reaches the workshop, not a call centre. If we are on a job it goes to voicemail, and we get back to you as soon as we are off it.
