Our featured project highlights our strengths and abilities in refinishing kitchen cabinets. Our client intends to put their house on the market, but the hood area was badly damaged due to a significant buildup of oil deposits on the hood, which over time caused the paint to lift. This is an antique glazed finish that requires a base coat, a glazing coat, and a top coat.
The rest of the kitchen looks great and did not need refinishing.
The biggest challenge in this project was color-matching all three paint coatings to achieve a combination identical to the existing color. Our color-matching technician was able to achieve the perfect match in just three attempts, which, in our opinion, is excellent. In some cases, we have made upwards of 5–6 attempts to achieve an accurate color match.
Furthermore, we had to perform the refinishing on-site because the built-in hood could not be removed and taken back to our shop. We are one of the few companies with the expertise to refinish glazing on-site.
